For the more experienced golfer who likes a challenge, the length of the golf course from the back tees will provide plenty of challenges; ball placement and club selection is key.

Longhirst golf, known for having a beautiful relaxed setting, has an alluring layout with a nice easy country and undulated greens that add character to the golf courses. On 30th June 2003 Longhirst began operating two 18 Hole Courses, The Dawson Course and The Lakes Course. The 2 course layout runs from 01 April to 31 October each year, then we revert back to our original layout (The Old Course) from 01 Nov to 31 Mar.

Longhirst Hall Golf Course continues to mature and grow into what is now a first class golfing venue in the North East of England , and is a must play destination.

To further enhance the experience at Longhirst, in July 2006 we opened a new clubhouse which provides the ideal way to start and finish your round.
